Patricia E. Gallagher received her MLS from Queens College, CUNY, and her MA from Hunter College, CUNY. She is currently Senior Librarian at the New York Academy of Medicine; previously she worked as Librarian in the Helene Fuld School of Nursing, and Assistant Director and Archivist at the Phillips Library of Beth Israel Medical Center, both in New York City. In addition, she is the author of "Consider the Source: A Selective Guide to Authoritative Health Information on the Internet" Health Care on the Internet 1999, 3(4): 39-58.
